Just for your reference. Actually, it is better to dispense with "what" in this structure. But I don't think it is wrong when "what" is not omited. Therefore, due to the fact that the "other" is indispensible, choice E of Gwd5-Q14 should be correct. More often than not, "what" seems more acceptable than when it is omitted to a tyro of GMAT. I guess that in some other subjects ETS is likely to insert a mistake in the choice with "what" whereas the choice without "what" is the correct one. But this is not the case for Gwd5-Q14 . So probably the D without "what" is a trap for a veteran of GMAT . |
