LZ,我强烈建议你先学习一下as.....as...的结构知识，这个题目考的是典型的as...as...比较状语结构，前面一个as是副词 ，后面一个as是连词要连接一个完整的状语从句 some analysts previously thought，所以选A。这道题目和平行扯不上关系。

as...as...前后比较对象需要一致，题目里面前后不一致，我指的这个。一个是经济一个是人，怎么比较。

as....as...前后比较对象确实需要一致,但是不是你这么个一致法,这里比的不是人和经济,而是( claims suggest 的经济的weak程度)和(some analysts previously thought的经济的weak程度)

as.......as的原则就是前后一致，
A比较的weak的程度
the economy might not be as weak as (the extent of weakness) some analysts previously thought.
C比较的是economy
如果要比较economy前面的句子就不能是as weak as了
只能像下面这样
The economy might not be thought weak as (the economy) have been previously thought by some analysts

不知道这样的分析有没有说服力，希望大家能给点建议~~~~

不是很同意-v-

A选项和C选项比较的都是economy。
A选项省略的不是weakness，还是economy，这样两个economy才能比较是不是一样weak，因为我们不能说economy A is as weak as the extent of weakness of economy B。
至于C错误是和A比较出来的，C用了被动语态，在动作执行者明确、不强调被动概念时，比使用主动语态wordy。

不客气~我看到你回了好几个讨论这道题的帖子，其实有些帖子里有前人已经讲明白这一点了。
比较结构是比较难懂，一起加油。
