Well, 亦愚,you certainly have a pretty good commanding of Chinese writing!

But may I kindly suggest you to try your Chinese writing skills in a more constructive fashion, or at somewhere else on the Internet?  You could very well publish some articles at other places and earn some fame for you :-)

I don’t think, however, CD is the best forum for your caustic writing.  Although I strongly disagree with many of vagabond’s later postings, I somehow still think that her original intension is not bad.  Although she certainly should have been more polite and toned down her wordings, and most importantly, she should not have committed personal attacks, I'm sure she must have learned her lessons.  Therefore, more pointed personal attacks, from either sides, should be avoided.  Frankly, I don't think personal attacks belong to CD.

In short, vagabond has made her point, and hopefully learned her lessons as well.  Let's all step back and calm down a little bit.  Our time could certainly be better spent on improving our English, studying for GMAT, writing essays, engaging in sincere discussions, or many other constructive things.

>>I'm not saying my GMAT is that high, just as I said here before. I know you have scored a 770/+. But if you like, I wish you could write some English postings POSTS here so that I can decide to admire or look down upon (YOU). It's so funny that someone who doesn't even know what would be appropriate standards/principles to judge people (she's making her decision solely based on one's so-called English ability) is making her awful judgements here and blindly thinks only her English is considered "REAL". Even if her English is so REAL, it can't make her any less of Chinese. What a pity! Don't even try to judge me or my English by searching how much I scored in my Gmat. GMAT was just one day of my life. It's not the whole. Neither is English. For anyone who's studying in the US, it won't discount their being respectable person if they make spelling/grammer mistakes. <<

US blogger fired by her airline
BBC News, UK - Nov 3, 2004
... But some postings contained images of herself in uniform. Of the 10 or so images only one showed Ms Simonetti's flight "wings". ...

Either BBC News makes a Valarie-called "What a pity!" mistake or Valarie is at fault.

I hope not all Chinese here are just like a "Frog in a Well".

To tell you what, I've used this wording to write more than 200,000 words of postings in Wall Street for years and no Americans thought of it as wrong. BTW, countless Americans also use it the same way. Valarie, are you living in a WELL if you are in US?

By the way, if you don't know YOU can be omitted here, you can learn from my construction. A plain reminder: why not "your English ability", why not "all Chinese boys", why not "frogs in a well"...

I found only a couple of guys like RobertChu here made fewer mistakes.

Wake up, Chinese boys and girls! Don't mistakenly think of WHITE as BLACK again!

Robert,

It's a pity that I could not manage to make the party the other day. The courtesy and sincerity outpouring from your postings really impressd me a lot, I wish we could get together sometime in the near future.

Well, let's talk about Vagabond.

When reading this very posting, I supposed that vagabond will resonate your goodwill. Unfortunately I am totally wrong. As you can see, she didnot cease personal attacks to others, which means she did not learn lesson here as you wish.

I don't agree with you that 亦愚's writing is caustic. Maybe it is not an appropriate comparison, do you think Lu, Xun is caustic? It seems to me that he has a great sense of humor and his writings make me laugh loudly. We need this kind of penetrating(入木三分) critic rather than attacker like vagabond. So, don't get him wrong.

Same here, I wish she will learn lesson here, but I don't expect she will.

wowowow, Don't act like "a dog jumping over the wall" - translated from Chinese saying, just as what you did for "frog in a well". See, Chinese culture is still instilled deeply in you. What a pity!

If you don't understand what PEOPLE are talking about and whey they are refering to, don't try to judge them.

Guess what? It means nothing what you find who made what mistakes even though I noticed you only FOUND fewer mistakes from people who didn't show much disagreement with you. Good luck for your future findings!

看来仗义执言的valarie MM也成了被攻击的对象了. 看来楼主是"顺我者昌, 逆我者亡"啊. 可悲!

why would your guys even bother to reply that barking dog? Oops, I mean that stupid and arrogant Vegabond.

I believe that Vegabond is going to find some mistakes in my post and trying to wake me up....haha......Who the hell does she think she is? God or something? Give me a damn break!

She is just so pathetic....

Sorry, guys, I don't want to use these fancy fonts and colors, I just do it for Vegabond as she apparently likes it and deserves it.

>>Robert, It's a pity that I could not manage to make the party the other day. The courtesy and sincerity outpouring from your postings (Just like slapping Valarie's face once) really impressd me a lot, I wish we could get together sometime in the near future. Well, let's talk about Vagabond. When reading this very posting (twice), I supposed that vagabond will resonate (with) your goodwill. Unfortunately, I am totally wrong. As you can see, she didnot cease personal attacks to others (doesn't cease to attack others), which means (by ETS standards, meaning, because that 'which' refers to 'others' here is not what you are supposed to express) she did not learn (a) (the third most typical Chinese error) lesson here as you wish.

I don't agree with you that 亦愚's writing is caustic. Maybe it is not (by ETS standard, It may not be) an appropriate comparison,(;) do you think Lu, Xun is caustic? It seems to me that (S)he (the most typical Chinese error) has a great sense of humor and his writings make me laugh loudly. We need this kind of penetrating(入木三分) critic(s) rather than attacker(s) (the second most typical Chinese error) like vagabond. So, don't get him wrong.

Same here, I wish she will (could) learn lesson(s) here, but I don't expect she will (would). <<

Enjoy the true color! How tall each error grows!

Who's making Chinese typical mistakes?
