I agree with you.  And you may not want to be compared with Indians.  But most of your international competitors in interview will be Indians.  And most of them will competing with you for the limited H-1.  You can't avoid comparing your English with them when facing the potential employer.

While arguing here, why not think about learning from the style the Americans are talking, not only the words they are using. "I like what you said, but..."; "That's a great idea, however,..."

口语不好就是口语不好，事实而已，与能力和背景有关，与态度无关。

话说回来，女生英语本来就容易长进，要是不恐龙，很容易被别人搭话，哪里还用得着自己腼腆。这跟男生比起来是很大的优势。

感觉vagabond有点像江湖女侠啊。仗义直言，我是满佩服的。虽然论据和论证方式有点问题，但核心思想是要激励我们大家努力进取，克服自己的缺点。可敬可佩！

没有人否认很多中国人的口语成问题，

也没有人认为自己英语已经很牛了，不需要继续学习，

这个帖子之所以引起前面这么多争论的关键不在于我们不承认口语不好，

而是楼主的态度不对，Dukie已经在他的跟帖里指出来了。

否则口语好不好这种问题至于引起这么多争论吗？

如果第一篇帖子还能说她出发点是好的，

你们仔细的看她后面的帖子吧！

我前面也说过，不尊重别人，只有自己是对的，这种人在美国是不受欢迎的。

I'm not saying my GMAT is that high, just as I said here before. I know you have scored a 770/+. But if you like, I wish you could write some English postings here so that I can decide to admire or look down upon.

Although the little White Dragon scored a 750, but it seems that his real English ability doesn't match such a distinguished score. Hope you are not that type called “high score yet with low ability.”

As to Tsinghua issue, actually my GMAT Quantitative failed me and as a Tsinghua grad I felt the loss of my face; otherwise, I'd be much more proud of my GMAT score, and also as a Tsinghua grad.

Anyway, congratulations for achieving such a distinguished score.
