First Year

During your first year, you will be immersed in the core curriculum. The courses will give you a firm foundation in economics, quantitative analysis and statistics, accounting, finance, organizational behavior, marketing and operations management. A yearlong Individual Effectiveness course will help you develop communication, computing and career-planning skills. In the final term of your first year, you'll begin to take elective courses. Hello, I am a senior student in Peking University. I have got a job offer from a multinational company, however, I wanna go to the US when I am fresh out of college. I have some experience as the summer intern and other extracurricular activities, but I am aware that lacking full time working experience is a blind side. Do you think it is possible that I can apply to Fuqua successfully? Do you have any friends with the same background as mine? Thanks!

I think it's more wise of you to accept the current offer and work for 2 or 3 years before applying for studying abroad.

Working experience in Multinationals is beneficial for your development, no matter you go abroad later or stay in China.

And Multinational working experience itself is a plus for your application of MBA abroad.

Duke last essay for three core values: just wonder how to develop it, just use one leadership story to show one or two values or qualities, or I must emphasize my qualities related with these core values first, then use stories to support it? Thanks.

Agree with Delphine. Usually, b-schools do not encourge fresh graduates. Most courses include many real business world case discussions. You know, a productive discussion requires all participants having working experiences. Most students that I met have more than three years working experiences. Anyway, there is always an exception.
