这个选项错，我的理解是后面的分词短语的逻辑主语与主句的逻辑主语不匹配！

我认为C是正确的

A.      错，分词crossing要么修饰主语（moth），要么修饰前面insects，但是两个逻辑意思上都不通

B.      错，过去分词imported表示被动,修饰a French scientist, 逻辑意思错

C.     正确

D.     错，我觉得也是逻辑意思上有问题，crossing逻辑主语是moth，明显不通，

E.      错，没有谓语

至于attempt的用法，我觉得不是主要的问题，这题关键就是在分词的逻辑主语判定

不知我的理解对不对，前大家指正
