112.12 GWD-13-Q22:

In a certain wildlife park, park rangers are able to track the movements of many rhinoceroses because those animals wear radio collars.  When, as often happens, a collar slips off, it is put back on.  utting a collar on a rhinoceros involves immobilizing the animal by shooting it with a tranquilizer dart.  Female rhinoceroses that have been frequently recollared have significantly lower fertility rates than uncollared females.  robably, therefore, some substance in the tranquilizer inhibits fertility.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument depends?

  1. The dose of tranquilizer delivered by a tranquilizer dart is large enough to give the rangers putting collars on rhinoceroses a generous margin of safety.

  2. The fertility rate of uncollared female rhinoceroses in the park has been increasing in the past few decades.

  3. Any stress that female rhinoceroses may suffer as a result of being immobilized and handled has little or no negative effect on their fertility.

  4. The male rhinoceroses in the wildlife park do net lose their collars as often as the park’s female rhinoceroses do.

E.The tranquilizer used in immobilizing rhinoceroses is the same as the tranquilizer used in working with other large mammals.

Thank you babyleader to figure out the problem.

Can I join your group?

I have been studying for GMAT nearly four months (full -time) and plan to sit the exam on 29th of March. I have been studying English since May of 2003 from basic level( I studied Japanese as the first foreign language  in my middle school and university)

I have studied OG SC for 5times and now I am doing 'yufa daquan', but the progress really get me down. Three months ago, before I started my grammar studies, I can answer about 54% correctly and now the average rate is 62%(one minute and 20second per question). It really doesn't mach with what did for it. I am going to memorise the OG question. What do you think?

My reading was about 65%- before Christmas- and since then I am studying LSAT. Although I haven't finished it, I don't think it will have very good effect on me.

The preparation is so hard that sometimes really get me down. I am in London and feel in the middle of no where, because I don' t have time to make friends. It is very good to talk to somebody who have something in common with.
