我也来求解一道题，A选项没看懂（按照我理解的意思解释不通）

Smithtown University’s fund-raisers succeeded in getting donations from 80 percent of the potential donors they contacted.  This success rate, exceptionally high for university fund-raisers, does not indicate that they were doing a good job.  On the contrary, since the people most likely to donate are those who have donated in the past, good fund-raisers constantly try less-likely prospects in an effort to expand the donor base.  The high success rate shows insufficient canvassing effort.

这题要选出一个，证明“尽管捐的人多，但是fund－riser拉赞助工作还是不行”的选项，对罢？
那A什么意思：这个学校的fund－riser联系的以前没捐过款的人和别的学校的fund－riser联系的一样多，一样成功，A怎么就对了？还是答案有问题？还是说因为一样多，所以这个学校的fund－riser的工作没超过同行，所以他们不行（这个解释太无厘头了罢）？

总算想明白了这题。我一直也不理解为什么A中的跟别的学校的成功率一样就能证明Smith这个学校的筹款人就没有那么努力去canvass捐款人了。翻了好几个帖子又反反复复看了好几遍终于懂了！分享一下我卡住的位置。

其实我们在纠结选项的时候忘记了题目中说的那句".....getting donations from 80 percent of the potential donors they contacted.  This success rate, exceptionally high for university fund-raisers, does not indicate that they were doing a good job. "

因为本来大家看到80%的成功捐款率是很NB的，但是其实rate高并不表明游说的人有很努力 因为捐过款的人更倾向再次捐款。

现在A就告诉你 其实smith的筹款人在游说从来没有捐过款人的时候成功率和别的学校筹款人一样。这样就加强了文中的论点，smith那80%的捐款率其实多数是来自以前捐过款的人的。

楼上A项意思理解错了。A项讲这所Smithtown大学的资金募集人联络那些以前从未捐过款的人成功获得捐款时的频率和其他大学募集人成功获得捐款的频率是一样的。A暗指了Smithtown大学募集人联络的是那些以前捐过款但是却没捐给Smithtown大学的人，而原文中评价good fund-raisers的标准是找那些比较不可能捐款的人，BDE选项都符合，因为这些选项中的捐款人以前从未给任何一所大学捐过款（donate to university），相比之下，A中的捐款人就比较显得更容易被说服捐款，因为他们也都捐款给其他学校。

首先我们来看题干中的重点句子：
good fund-raisers constantly try less-likely prospects in an effort to expand the donor base.
这句话是说good fund-raisers的标准是他们经常尝试去联系那些less-likely prospects的捐款者以扩大捐赠的基础

而A选项说，Smithtown University’s fund-raisers were successful （ in their contacts with potential donors who had never given before about ）as frequently as were fund-raisers for other universities in their contacts with such people.

所以就是直接针对这些平时不捐钱的人展开的，在这种人身上，SU的筹款人的成功率和其他学校一样，所以直接用判断标准表示了SU的筹款人是无效的。

而C是典型的迷惑选项。判断标准是那些以前不捐款的人成功率，C只说了经常性捐款人的筹款占之前筹款的大部分，并没有涉及到这些以前不捐款的人，所以不对。

说的太好了。我就是一直卡在这个句子上，所以把题目做错了。之后才知道这句话理解错了。这个句子的确是关键，因为我刚开始把less-likely看成副词修饰raisers，其实是形容词修饰捐款者的！

这道题我一开始也是错选了C的，但是后来认真想了一下感觉逻辑是这样的：
80%成功率，貌似很高但其实并不意味着他们工作做得好。
下面说了一个可能的原因：过去捐过款更倾向于在捐款。所以评判好的募捐人的标准是他们在从没捐过款的成功率。
推理到这里，直接加强这个逻辑的就是，说明SU游说的人里面多数都是捐过款的，也就是说SU并没有游说更多没有捐款的人。所以A符合了。
C很容易迷惑因为C貌似说的是，SU游说的人里面多数都是捐过款的人， 但其实C的真实意思是，多数捐过款的人不通过募捐者就捐款了。和SU游说的人群没有关系。并没有说明SU游说的人里面多数都是捐过款的。所以不对。

一点点理解，不知道对不对。
