prep1 Essay8 水蛇那篇是OG12上也有的，题目也都是OG上的，但是版主在考点里对题型的分类与OG略有出入：25题OG上是Application, 27题og上是inference，版主的阅读笔记里都分到Supporting Ideas里了，但是题目的问法和定位与SI题有很明显的差别呢

恩~这个问题我知道哈~准备在下版中改正一下，我先前是觉得这样的题目infer的程度不如其他类，所以就归到了si中。

Q57 The passage is primarily concerned with
(D)showing how a researcher's theory has been used to settle a dispute between the researcher and some astromnomers.
选项分析中给的释义是引发了争论，可settle不是解决吗。这个选项估计还得跟正确选项好好对比一下~

总结的时候还发现了几道题，都是问法当中有suggest的。我查了一下Og里的分类，supporting idea类问题的问法蛮多的:according to the passage, mention, state之类的，但是所有问题里用suggest的都归到了inference类里，而且suggest这个词本身也就是暗示，间接标明的意思。prep2007的前18篇里还有第6、14、18、38、58、60题是类似的情况，后17篇还没有总结完，目前看到的就只有3和7，每一个题我都推敲了一下，感觉有的推断的确很简单，但是还是放在推断题里更合适，也更清晰。比如第二部分的第3题：The passage suggests that modern multinationals differ from early chartered trading companies in that
选项答案是：the overseas operations of modern multinationals are not governed by the national interests of their home countries.
原文中的定位句是：They depended heavily on the national governments of their home countries and thus characteristically acted abroad to promote national interests.
原文中说早期特权贸易公司很大程度上依赖于本国政府，因此对外贸易是为了本国利益。问题是问 modern multinationals 与早期特权贸易公司有什么不同，而不是早期特权贸易公司与modern multinationals有什么不同，这中间还是存在一个推理的。而且，除了OG里对着两类题的解释之外，我的理解是，要看这个定位句本身是不是就是要说明问题中所需要的信息。比如：他午饭后去自习了，问：他中午吃饭了没？应该回答：吃了。这个句子的主干是要说他去自习了，并不是为了表达他吃了午饭。中间还是有一个推理的过程，虽然很简单，不怎么拐弯。上面提到的几个题楼主可以再推敲哈。

这句的大意是：尽管这些地图包括一些直接从NA获取的信息，BALABALA.但是好像并不能说明“不主要基于之地图者的亲自观察”吧。个人觉得定位定在上一段的最后一句可能更好些：accordingly, the accuracy of these maps is especially dependent on the mapmakers' own interpretive abilities.
准确性主要基于翻译能力，是不是就能imply制图者不是看到的，而是从资料中翻译的来的呢。。。。。。。。

哎，今天总结的时候又看到这题，我们还在讨论到底定位应该定在哪一句比较清楚，人家文章中已经很清楚的写了：Most existing maps of Native American lands are reconstructions that are based largely on archaeology, oral reports, and evidence gathered from observers' accounts in letters, diaries, and official reports;
就是我之前认为的定位句的前半句。。。。。。。。

第二部分的第15篇 P148 文章的七经八脉里解释说，这时的工会和领导没什么区别，甚至工会还总会对公司的目标有消极的帮助。我觉得把passive support翻译成“消极的帮助”不如译成“被动支持”，前者好像有点歧义的说，好像是对公司的目标起反作用一样呢～～另外后面那句我没看懂，请楼主点拨下：In 1986, however, a caucus led by the Foreman's Association forced the union's leadership out of office and returned the union's policy to one of passive cooperation.
