这项目不错 起薪和工作时间平衡得挺不错 可惜就是最终还是派回国
Liberty Mutual Corporate Development Program


这个项目招中国人在中国和美国之间轮岗2-3年,然后locate在中国。

As a CDP, you will participate in an individualized rotational development program that gives you:
Broad experience through four, 6-month assignments across functional areas in field operations, strategic business units, or corporate departments.  Each role will build on your experience, interests and strengths.

可看来看去都是要在MBA前工作3-5年的,我这个工作2年去读MBA的看来要悲剧了呀~~

1.大龄的MBA毕业生进这些项目有没有优势呢?当时觉得MBA Program的上升空间> being directly hired as an experienced.
2.你觉得如果在相关行业已经有了10+的工作经验,能通过此类项目Benefits到什么呢?

1.大龄有优势
2.或许有更快的发展路径。但是这个事情是因人而异的,因为如果你已经发展很好,有很不错的空间,那建议不要读MBA了,机会成本耗不起。

Danaher见过,确实是做医疗器械的。要求巨高,只招HBS。

Medtronic的只招美国人。个人认为我的intern project present属于所有MBA LDRP associate中相当突出的,还是没有机会,只能走direct hire。但我知道Medtronic国内有rotation program,但和北美这个相当不一样,具体的没有了解,也许官网上有。

Liberty Mutual像是广撒网,好像没有什么明显的target school呢。说rotation pay不错的,至少10万+,前2年。之后回国也很不错至少70w-80w+吧好像。不过intern审查严格,今年夏天6个中国人,只有3个拿到了fulltime interview opportunity,也就是说另外3个都被唰掉了。

Eli Lilly往年intern在北美做,full-time回国,从今年起连intern都是在国内做了



我想说,北美industry大公司,几乎全部都有leadership program。但好或不好众说纷纭。有说好就好在给了多点exposure,可以接着LDRP的幌子多找人聊聊拓宽network。但具体做的project,也许1年半一个rotation,变更数次或取消,也许也能向tianya那样相当出彩,但听起来更多看运气了。
另外leadership program普遍岗位能比direct hire高一点。direct hire(尤其是大公司),一般都是specialist,leadership至少上手就是senior specialist,毕业后没准就是manager。小公司一般direct hire就是manager或associate manager的了。所以leadership普遍应该pay比direct hire要好吧。但LDRP工资没得negotiate,所以你之前工作年限长,其实挺不划算的,因为拿的是跟其他junior MBA一样的pay


不过很重要的一点~~~金融危机后,基本大公司rotation都只招美国人了~~~唉~~~~

Fortune 500的公司这种Leadership Program很多也是内部招聘可以参加的,所以机会就更少了,还是那句话,职业发展目标是industry的,还是一直在corporate的比较好,当然也可以走industry---MBA---Consulting---industry的路线。

另外,大龄的劣势是,即使你工作经验比别人多(一般leadership program招3-5年),所以你如果6-8年,机会面临起薪个他们一眼的尴尬局面。。。

当然,如果你确定rotation这2、3年outstanding,固然好。不然我自己觉得有点小浪费的
