偶觉得grow在这里是不及物动词：to become bigger, taller etc over a period of time in the process of becoming an adult。怎么可以直接加宾语？

grow + adj. 的时候意思是：to change and become different quite slowly ，在这里逻辑不对。

Les mm的理解和我很相近，grow在作系动词的时候意思是趋势的变化，而本题里的grow的意思是生长。

D是典型错误, 很象CHINGLISH. 长多少大是形容具体的长度,不能用 AS BIG AS 可以跟长度,但是不能跟long. 所以偶选A.

原句中没有big这样的实意词，不可以随便添加的。会造成强调意思的不同。

grow 后边最好有说grow的怎么样的，to是必要的。如果要用as big（long） as的话，中间感觉还是缺少什么。

我觉得grow to是对的，我不明白的是，which can grow to be 30 feet long and is，为什么还要加个be呀？

I feel only gloryy's explanation is right.

"grow as big as" has no fault in itself when used in other sentences.

it's quite idiomatic.
