看的累死了。觉得grow as big as 30 feet long不合逻辑而且罗嗦．Ａ更简洁．grow to be 和grow to 都对．

个人认为选A，as....as 在ETS看来只用在有比较的时候，大家可以看一下刘振明的书。

另外as long as=if

long 和big不是一个概念.再说我们表达的是一个程度.....如长达30英尺.....达...用to比较好..觉得语法上..big不能修饰动词grow

D中的which 从句换成一个比较的句子为:the killer whale can grow as big as 30 feet long. 按照GMAT 的比较, 是否我们可以得出比较的对象为:the killer whale// 30 feet long 呢? 从逻辑上不对!

从句子的重心强调上:which can grow to be 30 feet long 强调的为to be 30 feet为一种状态, 和后面的is famous for its aggressive hunting pods 在功能上对称.

而which can grow as big as 30 feet long 强调的为grow的动作, 和后面的状态也不对称.

我还是觉得这题肯定有问题，前面的include按ETS的习惯肯定会弄个includes来混淆视听

D: 没比较的必要

用OG的话讲，grow as big as 30 feet long，needlessly and awkwardly wordy.

1) grow to be 能确切的表达意思

2）grow 30 feet或者grow to 30 feet long都能确切表达意思

其实，选项对与否关键看是否能确切表达意思。

从语法的角度上讲，既可以说big作为形容词无法表达grow的一个量化概念，最多只是程度（v. + adj.)。

我想想，模考时之所以会选D，是因为被OG中大量的正确答案为as ... as所误导。其实，OG考察的是比较的用法，而没有考察过as ... as作为形容词或副词的正确性。所以本题既然并不考察比较，则主要以意思的确切表达为主。
