我还是不明白41的a为什么不对，如果看成less 是修饰one-quarter 的就可以了

41支持A,首先1/4后面可以不跟介词 (如同HALF THE AMOUNT OF...我记得有好几个例子,不赘述),THAT MANY省略了(of drive-ins)指以前那时候的DRIVE-INs,注意,因为是MANY,所以不是指代这个"NUMBER",使得less更making sense..

而B,C中FEWER一般指人,在这里指一个量1/4 of the amount超级奇怪..

我看不出A有什么错...

8-11 我选的是E。把帖子看了一遍，居然没有一个人选E，郁闷坏了。

我认为nowt的前半段对，这句话补出来应该是 There are no legal limits, as there are (no legal limits) for code and haddock. 但是，原句的limit后面是on the size of monkeyfish,而不是for + 动物，所以a不对。如果要是there are no legal size limit, as there are on cod and haddock, on monkeyfish that can be caught, A就对了。

they 指代monkeyfish.我查了一下金山，发现老美多用fish为复数，请看例句：

The best fish smell when they are three days old.(谚)
再好的鱼三天也要变臭。;久住招人嫌。

为什么是E呢？比较相同的东西。 catching ... cod and haddock 与 catching monkeyfish比较的东西相同而且平行。其他所有的选项都有对比的东西不相同的问题或者不平行。C还用which指代了一句话，这在og里清楚说明是不对的。

fewer than a quarter of that amount,首先a quarter of that amount中心词是amount (我想大家没异议吧?)

经过讨论,amount就是等同与number,即一个抽象的数的概念,那fewer than怎么能修饰这个amount抽象的数的概念呢?

请大家讨论啊!我实在想不同,还有就是哪为NN有类似这种倍数之类的东东的总结,我被绕的不行了

昨天问了老外，41题：C

amount指的是4，000 drive-ins，one-quarter of that amount 代指1000drive-ins,所以用fewer(few)而不用less(little)

不要笃信鬼子,他们语法没我们强.

根据前面讨论,AMOUNT是一个抽象的数的概念,是"指"4，000 drive-ins,但"不是"4，000 drive-ins.

我觉得C肯定可以排除,答案在A,B中

LESS我见过不少修饰可数的情况,所以很难排除.B项AS MANY我觉得有点AWKWARD,后面是否能省略,有待讨论,我

个人觉得不行.

关于8-11的一点想法，xaquarius MM，我刚开始时也是选的E，后来仔细看了看，发现它有明显的错误：

1.UNLIKE的对比明显不平行,前面是名词,后面却是THERE BE结构

2.contributing to their depletion because 罗嗦且重复意思

再说说A/C

我同意A,并且认为A中的their是指代morkfish,there no legal limits,.........,on the........是整句,而中间的as there are for是插入语,因此their 从逻辑上来讲是指代morkfish的

另外对于as there are for的理解是省略了no legal limits,可参考OG-91题,细细体会

C中有一个致命的缺点,用WHICH指代先面的句子,更体现了ETS在A中用CIRCUMSTANCE 的别有用心哦
