先定义了unemployment: adults who are willing and are able to work but do not have at least a part-time job.然后说今年number of unemployed下降了1 million,但是number of people who are employed 只上升了0.5million, 问可能的解释。

C.some companies encourage long term employees to retire and hire new employees with lower wages.
D. some people change full time jobs to part time ones

Reading
1.讨论comparative advertisment 和 incomparative advertisement 的效果。好多研究证明，comparative advertisement which makes comparisions between the band and its couterparty 并不比不作品牌比较的广告效果好。
文章给出了几种可能的解释。一种可能是消费者对于广告中比较突出的产品特点并不感兴趣，其实可能是这些比较的特点都是显而易见的。另外一种可能是研究方法中存在偏差，作者建议使用relative study,也是问实验者看完广告后他更倾向于买advertised brand还是另一个在广告中与其做对比的品牌。

2. 谈论service-gaurantee policy对于restaraunt industy的形象。首先对于价位高的餐厅比较有效，对于价位低的餐馆影响不大甚至有反作用。作者分析了其中的原因。可能是消费者已经了解该餐馆的服务水平，这样的政策反而让消费者怀疑店家对自己的服务没有信心。然后指出这种情况和其他行业不太一样。
但是，这个政策也并非百无一益，它可以给职工们提供一个具体的参考标准，让他们知道服务标准。

3.一个讲一种动物的population cycle,以前做过的，关于一种虫子叫lep...，好像是蝴蝶的幼虫？
