答案是B, 我选的是A, B为什么对呢？

that number有“那个数字”的意思，指的是前面一句提到的数字，感觉B就是没有问题的。但是其他选项我只是觉得不太顺畅，但是具体错在哪里不清楚，等待NN解释。
我也有一些问题：
1  Number和numbers有什么差别
2  the numbers of的用法对吗？个人感觉意思不对，numbers是数字的意思，就是表示1,2,3..这样的数字，不是数量的意思，the numbers of truck是卡车的数字，感觉不对。
3  by themselves和alone有什么差别

A选项应该错在numbers用了负数，B项正确使用了number单数。因为表达倍数的习惯用法都是twice the number of...或者twice as many xx as ...
DE项都是as...as...的用法不完整吧。
具体alone和by themselves的用法也不太清楚，是不是因为trucks是物体，所以不能用by themselves描述呢~
