题目意思是说制造商的一家工厂1单位成本生产drill bits的数量比其他任何一家工厂的数量都多，给出了数据（7<10）,所以应该把这家工厂全部用于投入到生产drill bits中去，其他的部件由其他厂商生产。这样做的效果会有助于降低drill bits的总成本，又因为降低生产个别部件的总成本是降低总成本的唯一方法，所以制造商的总成本会下降。
1．有一个比较优势的概念，简单的来说，A 厂1单位成本生产DB 10个，B~Z 厂1单位成本生产DB 7个，如果A 厂1单位成本生产XX 20个，B~Z 厂1单位成本生产XX 7个，那么明显A 厂应该专门生产XX，而B~Z厂专门生产DB。这就否定了制造商能够降低drill bits的总成本的结论
2．即使真能降低drill bits的总成本，B~Z 厂生产XX的成本可能增加会并超过drill bits总成本的减少额，所以不会使生产个别部件的总成本下降，可以根据1进行推理。
