第二题是比较纠结。下面只是我个人理解。
从逻辑上说，remain是通过by....而得来的一种可能性，一种能力。所以应跟在have been able to 后 与put 并列。
有能力和一个具体的动作并列起来不恰当。
而只有这么说才比较恰当啊，有能力去做...并且（有能力去）做。
你体会一下动词的细微差别
动词之间的关系有好多种，有伴随的，并列的，附属的等等。
而这题你可以细细体会一下remain是和have be able to在一个等级上还是和put在一个等级上。
这种原则很模糊，也就是说，当两个选项语法上没有哪个跟好的时候，就得从逻辑上下手。这也是G里面最难得一块。

但我想问下，是不是E的前面应该加上and呢？
两个so放在一起不是sentence fragment吗？应该有and 连接才是啊
不然我会根据这个原则率先排除E的。。。

这题GWD里面给的答案是B，可是新PREP里面的答案是E啊，B里面是那个which有问题，可E里面有双重所有格啊，语法笔记里面不是说双重所有格是错的嘛，如果选E是不是说明which的指代问题的优先级高于双重所有格呢
？。。。。。。纠结中~~~~

回答22楼问。
其实这题我自己也不知道确切的解答。但是只能说，在句子逻辑含义层面上E最好。其实那些语法书说的并不是万能药，也就是说不是绝对的。有好些题目都是从逻辑上入手的。
但是这题呢有个例外。可以说它不是并列结构。
因为并列结构中可以省略BE动词，但是你看，如果were带入后明显在第二个so...中主谓不一致。

而且so persistent her lobbying for wage and hour reform 其实只能是独立主格结构结构，也就是 her lobbying for wage and hour reform so persistent, 这是一种 n+adj 独立主格结构的改写而已。所以这个成分做了状语，修饰整个句子，表示某种伴随条件原因，是可以的。所以句子上没什么大问题了。
这只是我个人认为从语法上对E可能的解释，仅供参考。

还有啊，22楼的，考试的时候千万别那么分析，很浪费时间，遇到想不通的，或是没见过觉得奇怪的无从下手的，直接读一遍，找一个自己觉得顺畅的选项就选了。

个人认为B是正确的，虽然E没什么错。
首先修饰语的位置，GMAT讲究自然语序，也就是说增长是从....到....，尽管E颠倒了其顺序，但是其实没有必要。比如一个句子间的动作先后顺序在句子上很多情况下他们的位子上的先后顺序也会体现其发生的先后顺序，这个原则比较没有什么语法原则，但是逻辑上舒服多了，也就是说，逻辑也是很重要的。
说说你说的which指代。B是没有问题的，非限制性定语从句可以带过介词短语指代介词短语前面的名词。而B其实是宾语后置。 its share of the $21 billion book market in the country from 6 percent to 10 percent, which ranges。而这种变化只是让修饰语和修饰对象之间位置更加恰当。
。这样是为了让from  to 更接近其修饰对象increase。语序也很对。
并且E的那个不是双重所有格。双重所有格是n of n‘，而不是n of n’ n。
