Applicants to the Real Estate Development Program are required to submit either GRE or GMAT examination scores. Test scores should arrive by the application deadline.
Applications for admission to the program leading to the M.S. degree in Real Estate Development are due January 15th. All prospective students must apply using our online application. The GSAPP is no longer accepting paper-based applications. Admission decisions will be posted online on April 1st, and the cohort program starts once a year during the summer semester. Applicants may hold degrees in a wide range of fields. While academic preparation in development-related disciplines such as economics, business, law, engineering, historic preservation, architecture, construction, and urban planning is highly desirable, it is not essential for admission to the program. Work experience is important for admission to the MSRED Program. It is not necessary to have work experience in the real estate industry, but we look for individuals that have excelled professionally in past positions. The MSRED Program must be completed full time in NYC, and we are unable to offer deferred admission at this time.
