The area you are talking about is Hyde Park. The school itself is extremely safe, but the neighbourhood around it is a historically black neighbourhood. The Garfield stop (the red line one that you went to) is a bit dodgy, but I went there every week for three years and I was fine. Many other students also simply take the bus downtown, since it is quicker and generally safer.

Besides, Hyde Park (the area you mentioned) is where President Obama stayed for the past few years while he taught in the University of Chicago Law School. How dangerous do you think it can be if Obama calls it his home?

good post

Would you share the list of companies coming to Booth campus in the career fair?

Besides, good luck with job hunting!

Hi, I have two questions about Booth that I want to seek advice on:

1.

I understand that LEAD is one of the unique features of Chicago Booth in that it is the only core subject that everyone has to take.
But the info offered on the school website about this programme is not detailed enough for me to truly understand how this program is run and why it is so effective in honing people's leadership skills.

So I'm justing wondering if you could kindly provide some more details on the programme? What kind of classroom training is there for LEAD? And besides classroom trainings, what other activities/workshops/seminars are there? what do you consider the most effective element among all these?
And how is the 125 hours divided among these different approaches?

2.

The Random Walk sounds exciting and fun. Could someone please elaborate more on this? What is the activity like and what's the most valuable takeaway from it?

thanks
