Johnson application has 4 rounds. I am considering catching for R3. Am I disadvantaged compared to R1 and R2 applicants in acceptance and scholarship application respectively?

个人认为你听说的信息不可靠，你不需要担心这些问题。

我们在入学的时候学校都会给我们参加core course exemption的考试，目的就是给那些有过相关学习背景的同学一个免掉重复劳动，把节省的时间用来选其他课程的机会。

我们这里有很多CPA, CFA就是免掉了accounting, finance之类的课程，还有本科学marketing, statistics的也有免掉core course的。

I am not sure about that actually. I think the quota in round 3 would be less than that in round 1 and round 2. But there is definitely chance for you if you take it seriously. I know that there was someone who got offer in round 3 each year.

Now that I'm in, how should I prepare myself to be more ready for the courses? I had never taken any of the core courses you mentioned when I was in undergrad. What material should I start reading?

First, congratulations! In terms of the preparation, I can tell you the core course we took in the first semester:

Accounting, economics, marketing, finance, strategy, statistics

So you can find some of these books to read if you don't have relevant background.

Moreover, cornell will provide you a link of an online course: MBA math. Learn it thoroughly and do the practice will help.
