如果and后面不是独立的结构，代词them=前面的them，指代these questions，这样不对。

所以，我想，可以说：and前后是两个句子，而后一个句子省略了同前句的be动词，with介词短语提前，完全倒装，还原就是with them are the chances...，这个them自带women。

那，我也不知道了，只是这么读这个句子，我也不知道第二个them指代的是women。

或者你再多读2遍，大概就会清楚很多。

不过这些都只是句子，没有上下文，理解上也自然更难一些。

大全里面说such (...) as to是错误的用法，只有so as to

白勇说作为定语从句，that可以指人，可是我觉得只有WHO可以指人，that指物

答案是b。可是我怎么觉得主谓不一致啊。

investigating the effects that changes in working conditions would have on workers' performance.

这里，changes是名词还是动词啊？名词就没问题，动词的话应该用change吧。

changes是名词。

最近看题总是不仔细，而且看不下去，不能细细分析，选答案时很急很糙~~

我觉得白勇这点说错了，对吧！！！

that可以指人吧？为啥错啊？

做宾语的时候只能用whom指代人。

答案是b，我选的是c，理由是：c里省略了be动词was，所以and前后是平行的，而不是白勇这题解释里面说and后面是n.短语。而且b里面的had been没有必要，这里并没有要用过去完成时的暗示。

并且在白勇第12页说到省略结构六-7-2)里举了此题为例，说的是答案c。

所以，此题在练习题中的答案是错的！

这道题当时我也选的c。但是后来看了一些cd上的讨论，我现在也不是很确定选什么。

好像有人说前后主语不一致不能省略云云~~可以参照这个讨论贴

我倒是觉得b中over感觉用的比较地道。但是这个过去完成时确实又有点没头没脑~~
