after interview

Today, I just had an interview with a hedge fund, US-based firm managing over US$8 bn with around 30 employees. After our conservation, the interviewer, a senior PM, told me I am the only applicant to be selected for the 1st round interview from my school (coz they posted the recruiting info. on the career service website at my school). And then he said they may contact me a few weeks later.  Do you think it's high possibility for me to have 2nd round interview ?  very nervous now.....so painful to wait for several weeks.  Many thanks.

Guess you may have to learn more and reach out all your network to see if there is any possibility of knowing people in the target firm. People in the pool know each other anyway. Also, a good follow-up is vitally important to make an impression.

sure what collenice said is right, btw if you are fresh in this industry, u'd better try hard to network. Best luck
