关于twice的用法

C. twice what it was in   里面这个 IT 指代上面啊??

ABDE 是都有问题, 可哪位能帮我 搞清楚这个 WHAT 从句到底是个上面结构, 后面证明有个IT?

所以说since what it was 是OK的~那么 double what it was 呢? double可以作动词么?

请问..如果A在1977前面加个in是不是就正确选项了? C错哪儿了呢~

double可以當動詞使用,例句(1):Their house has doubled in value since they bought it.  (2)The government is threatening to double the tax on liquor.

(A)要改成正確選項的話,much要改成many,因為ministers是可數名詞,在1997前面加上in就可以了

(C)按照OG給的解釋是說what it was is awkward ,wordy, and unclear.以前看到what it was就直接排除,但是看到樓主大全885裡面的例題,好像也不能這麼斷然就排除what it was的選項,不知道有哪位牛牛可以具體解釋一下

可是还是有疑问：it 是代词，本身是不能带冠词，所以也就不需要冠词

关于C指代it，OG4中倍数关系是修饰20,738 female ministers中这个数量，og解释中有“Double the figure for 1977 places the focus on the number and correctly completes the comparison.“可以为证。故what it was错在指代歧异。

而对于OG中”What it was is awkward, wordy, and unclear“ ，其实What it was 只是相对the figure罗嗦，GMAT中不认最好，只认相对好，很business的逻辑啊：－）

所以what指代的主从并不一定都错的。这点还需总结完善～
