[求助]some questions about ACnielson

hello friends,

Does anybody know about ACnielson? Could you tell me what their salary level for positon such as Client Servide Executive? And what they will ask when interview somebody who apply for Client Service Executive? and anyother things you know, such as your opinion on this company.

It's the leader in marketing research, but lower pay, compared with others...just personal opinion. Have ever applied for their AAC position, but cannot find the common in salary....so....

AcNielsen claims to be no. 1 market research company in the world. It is probably the earliest MR company in China. But their performance in China is not good. But it has a good reputation among their clients. If you are interested in market research, I personally think AcNielsen can be a good starting point. After all it is the market leader. But in MR industry, the entry level package is fairly low but it increases very quickly if you do well.

Client service executive is probably someone who deals with client's request on a daily basis. This person should coordinate between client and the researchers (people from the research department). I'm not clear about AC's structure. But generally in MR companies there are two main types of structure: 1/client service and research department are seperate from each other, 2/ research department deals with client service and research at the same time. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I think this position will require exceptional communication skills.

well~~~ACNielsen, her salary level is relatively low. and as far as i'm concerned, ACNielsen perhaps cannot be called a consulting firm. BTW, i'm on the Management Trainee programme....after all, it is pretty good~~

很愧疚这么晚才谢过大家!

Nielson面试已经结束,结果令人失望。不知道是不是因为要求的薪水高于他们的设想。总之,自己也要自省,某些方面还是需要提高。

满意的地方:面试的GG和JJ都很NICE, 思维很快,问的问题也很resonable,基本上是我预料中的。

不满意的地方:他们居然在选定人之后没有给我一个回复。直到我在他们说的有效期快到来时给他们电话才知道这个结果。他们表示抱歉没有通知。我本打算如果他们电话给我rejection的话,我就要问明白我欠缺他们需要的东西是什么。但是现在看来,我已没必要问了,因为我也已经reject他们了。

经验总结: 面试每个公司前,都要各方途径对他们进行一下了解。我这次因为时间太短,没做好准备,以至于轮到我问问题时都没有什么问的。这样不好。

一个问题samhuanghls 提到的AAC 这个职位是什么?职能呢?

AAC是ACNielsen Analytical Consulting的缩写,以前是放在Retail Service下面的,现在是单独的部门。这个部门的HEAD是一位来自新西兰的女士,人很好。

AAC的BAND8的SALARY和其他部门(GBS除外)是一样的,职能一般分为2个部分,一部分是做MODULING的,根据已有数据和方法论建模;还有以部分是CONSULTING职能,主要面对客户,是利润比较高但是营业额相对于其他老部门比较少的。

如果你有什么关于NIELSEN的问题可以继续问我,不方便回答的我也会尽量投条给你。

BTW: ACNielsen已经改革结构,整合为the Nielsen Company

你面试的CSU(Client Service Union)应该是RMS(Retail Measurement Service)下面的一个部门吧,主要负责是把数据从GBS以及RSU(Retailer Service Union)那边拿过来,卖给客户

yes, you are right. CSU is a sub-dep of RMS.

I wonder know which is more valueable for ACnileson between CSU and research department? which is more challanged?

glad to help

it can not be valued directly from the interest or revenue earned by the selected department. And i did not get you by "research department". RMS involves RSU and CSU, RSU collects data from retailers and delivers them to CSU, then CSU team sells them to clients, so RSU as well CSU is part of the working float. There is no particularly  preferred department.

What's more, the pressure of RSU lies in the difficulty of getting data and sales information timely,say, relationship management; CSU faces to the challanges from our clients, especially from experienced mkting or sales managers.

PS: you've made 2 mistakes in spelling, one is my ID, and the other is the name of the company. The Nielsen Company always focuses on details.
