 做题时看到划线划到抽象名词结束，这句话是什么意思啊

就是在抽象名词后面开始划线。

抽象名词就是一些没有形象的东西，比如力量（power），比如权力(rights)，比如发现（discovery）这些。。。

实义名词就是苹果，桌子，椅子，有形象的东西。

所以一般划到抽象名词后面都是用定词来解释这个抽象名词的含意。

这题是考so as to和so that的区别，其实这两个含意上区别不太大，但是用法上要注意。

so as to的动作发出者是默认为句子的主语的，然后如果跟在了宾语之后，会产生歧意，比如这句，应该是H休了皇后为了娶ＸＸＸ。然后so as to 跟在了皇后后面，会产生歧意，让人以为是queen要娶ＸＸＸ。

而Ｄ选项中用了so that，当中补出了he主语，所以不会产生歧意了。

以后特别要注意so as to 的逻辑主语问题。（有so that的话先看so that选项）

让人不知道倒底果保留还是要揭露，两个意思相反的词一起用呀。

1，B解释说："where there was...that was" is redundant.实在是不解啊

2，E的解释所："having" is ambigous because it is unclear whether it refers to the "Anasazi"or"other clans".having...分词短语而且前边没有逗号，应该是作定语就近修饰 "ohter clans"啊，OG的解释反过来说，就是SVO Ving，Ving可以修饰S，也可以是O，这个感觉很疑惑。因为 the Supreme Court awarded the Central Intelligence Agency broad discretionary powers enabling ....很明显是修饰 power的，不会说修饰the Supreme Court ，这究竟是怎么回事啊？

看Lena的回帖，对问题的解释，总有一种神情愉悦的感觉，有一种心灵息息相通的感觉，有一种“你来我往”的感觉，这种感觉真的很难形容！好像你特别能读懂我的问题，知道我症结在哪儿，而且解释的说得特别特别清晰。

同样的问题问LG，感觉思考问题总是拧着劲儿，不管是解释还是问题想不到一起，总是不对头的感觉。

REDUNDANT？ 指THERE WAS吧，不过WHOSE 指人，WHERE指地儿 CLAN 人

HAVING 这形式做定一般都错，待我再查查

OG的是说， SVO ， Ving 形式吧 Ving可以修饰S，也可以是O？？？要是 SVO VING那就怪了

那B错哪了

动词优于形容词。Ｂ的说法我觉得没什么很大的语法错，但是不如so that的表达有效和简洁。

ＧＭＡＣ里面一般都用so that和so as to比较prefer。

用并列句改写，失去了原来的感觉。

原来的感觉是，休了皇后为了是娶ＸＸＸ

改成并列句的意思变为：先休了皇后，然后娶了ＸＸＸ

之间目的的感觉失去，所以不对。
