大家好！我是McCombs今年入学的MBA一年级学生。欢迎大家申请UT Austin的McCombs School of Business! 下面简单介绍了了今年的录取和就业情况。同时附上几个有用的网站供大家参考。有关申请和学校的问题，建议先参考一下去年的答疑帖。因为临近期中，如果答复不够及时，还请大家多包涵。

今年的录取情况：

我们今年大陆直接过来的有4人。另有2位大陆同学一位是从UT的其他学院申请过来的，另一位是持有绿卡在美工作时间很长的。就背景而言，2人国企，3人外企，一人改变专业（以前有传媒方面的工作经验）。大体分布是这样，但不代表UT就特别偏爱某一类型的申请者，所以大家在这方面不必担心。

今年的就业情况：

2007届毕业的3位大陆同学全部在美工作。从目前的情况看，又有新的公司加入到McCombs商学院MBA的雇主行列。

听说Austin对托福的要求比较高，请问实际是这样吗？网站上好像没有明确的分数，100够不够用？

还有大陆申请者大部分是第几轮申请的呢？十分感谢！

Texas McCombs MBA 的申请系统实在是太难用了。折腾了几个小时，到现在我也不知道怎么登录进去。

偶先去 http://mba.mccombs.utexas.edu/admissions/adm/application.asp
告诉偶 First time here 要 Create/Find your UT EID，于是点击去 Get a UT EID，填了 First (Given) Name， Last (Family) Name， Date of Birth， E-mail Address 之后点击 Continue （注意，这个页面根本没有让我设password的地方），到了一个页面，告诉我有个UT EID 列了出来，我打了勾，点击Claim按钮继续，继续的页面说：If you know the password for this UT EID, you can Logon to Graduate Application for Admission. If you don't know the password for this UT EID, visit the Forgot Password page.

靠，我怎么知道password？！压根就没让我设过password.

点击Forgot Password page，一开始又说To get started, enter your UT EID，让我输入UT EID，
输入之后点击Continue，显示一个页面：
Password Hint
Your password hint is: Call the UT Admissions Help Desk at (512) 475-7387.
    I remember my password now. Let me logon.
    I still don't remember my password. Show more options.

有没有搞错啊！到底password是什么啊？

又点击 Show more options，显示一个更古怪的页面：
UT EID Contacts
We have presented you with all of the Password Reset Options you have available based on the information about your UT EID.
Please use the information below to contact the area which can assist you with your UT EID.
For assistance with your UT EID, please contact:
Office of Admissions
RM. 7 Main Bldg.

512 475 7387


彻底崩溃！到底password是什么啊？反复收了注册的Email信箱也没有什么Email过来。

至今不知如何登录进入Texas McCombs MBA 的申请系统.

这个applytexas.org又是干什么用的啊？跟我们申请MBA的有关吗？

好像有这样的说法。但我们大多是考的paper based，跟目前的考试还是有区别的。我可以问问招生办这个问题。

我们几个人有第一轮也有第二轮申的。但还是建议尽早，因为有些第二轮的录取取决于第一轮是否有人不去。等待是很磨人的...

我试着用上面的online application 登陆了一下。有password的页面啊。我的建议是和论坛里其他申请UT的同学交流一下，看看他们是如何完成这个步骤的。不行的话，直接联系招办（e-mail就可以）。希望你能顺利完成申请。

UT 以往用的是德州的申请系统，是比有些学校的系统要繁琐一些。学校也意识到这个问题，迫于政策限制不得已而为之。从另一个角度讲，能坚持完成网申的申请者都证明了自己的loyalty。GOOD LUCK!

just spend more time on the system and you will get used to it. If you really want to start business school, believe me there are a lot of other things that are much more complicated than the system.
