How is the job placement of 2007&2008 class? which companies are main recruiters of Chinese MBA students?

For Class'07, 1 in marketing, 2 in consulting.

For Class'08, 1 in consulting for sure.

Top Hiring Companies in 2007 (full-time) include Dell, Deloitte, Chevron, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft,  Everest Consulting,  ExxonMobil, Frito-Lay, Hewlett-Packard, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Co., Wal-Mart.

昨天去world MBA Tour的UT Austin展台逛了逛，和一个和蔼可亲的女士聊了10分钟左右。主要问了两个问题：

- Financial Aid. 他们目前的政策还是需要co-signer.但是貌似花旗银行在考虑改变这个政策，但是还在讨论中。学生中merit-based的scholarship因人而异，但貌似不是很丰厚。

- Job placement.主要在hi-tech, i.e. Dell, 还有consumer package goods行业比较多，例如P&G,亨氏。

我还顺便问了一下campus visit的情况。因为我在网上看到他们12月份的campus对visitors是closed的，因为学生期末考试。但是她说，如果我下次去，一定先告诉她，她会注意帮我安排。

对中国学生而言，Non－cosigner Loan的缺乏是McCombs的一大致命伤。我也跟学校不少officer讲过这个事情了，希望能有进展。现在是正在商谈新的Non－cosigner Loan（原来的Non-cosigner Loan 利息高，有限额），应该不会越谈越少吧。

除此以外，我是很喜欢McCombs的。能找到其他资金来源的同学可以放心申请，没有资金来源的同学也可以现在申请，看明年入学之前学校能谈成什么样的Loan。多个选择是好事。

It was a hurry trip for me because i had to back home in time for my sons. I took a investment class from Professor Leeds. It was nice. There were several Asia student in the class but I did not get time to talk with them. The girl who lead my luch visit is an Indian American. She was very nice and gave me a lot of good advice.

You can check your application's status online.

Campus is a good idea. But there is no visit available in Dec due to the final exam. You need wait until Jan.
