Yeah, Wharton has extended numerous interview invitations and admissions to Chinese applicants.

My background is not bad.  But GMAT score cannot stand me out. So, I doubt if they really review every applicant's essays carefully.  My Wharton essays are not bad. 

I understand it's really very hard to pick up the right ones from thousands of applications.  You know what I mean.  So, that's fine by me.  I don't complain.  C'est la vie. 

In passing, I don't like Wharton very much.  Too large a program.  I like small program.

abc, to be honest, I think small program is much better. some of my friends told me graduates from big program like Wharton can not easily find a suitable job.

btw, do you have any scholarship so far?

Maybe true.  But it depends on individual case.

I have small schorlarship with Simon.  No schloarship with Darden.  I may need to take some loans.

I am dinged by Wharton too. I think the biggest problem is my GMAT, only 700, although I feel my essay is quite good.

Application is quite tricky. Luck plays a too important role especially at current stage.

Wish all of us can have luck..

double check your application page.  One of my friends found suprise from there - Wharton may not send out email/or your mailbox did not receive it.
