Hi,

 

I have a question concerning about the 11 additional elective courses which I can select from the curriculum.

 

My career perspective focuses on Finance & analytical elements.

 

Beside these, I would like to choose another focus area, I am wondering among these areas: Econometrics and Statistics, Economics, Entrepreneurship, General Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Managerial and Organizational Behavior, Marketing Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management.

 

Do you all have any ideas of which alternatives worth to pick from the list? Thank you!

It is the part-time program to which I applied and got accepted. I think most people here are only interested in the full-time program. Anyways, I interviewed with GSB Alumni in early October, submitted my full application package on Oct 20th at 11:30pm (the deadline is mid-night Oct 20, so you can tell that I am really a last-minute person). I am suprised that the good new came so soon.

After admitted. You don't need to notice your fomer employer. Just wait unless there are some problems in background check.

Shiqqq was right. Background check is conducted after the admission. There is no need to notify your past employers if they are of decent size 'cause their HRs know how to handle this inquiry professionally. If you worked for small firms, you might want to give them a heads-up though.

 I am also interested in Chicago GSB weekend program which I belive is the same as part time program. Same question as buttkicker, can you share your contact information with me also?  Thanks very much!

Entrepreneurship is not my focus but these are what I know:

1) 学校有专门的创业孵化器http://www.chicagogsb.edu/entrepreneurship/；

2）有专门的学生社团（创业和PE)，每年有大会

3）只上过一个教授的课，他曾经是全美风险投资基金排名前20的fund manager，impressive
