UW-Madison, I am coming!

各位前辈，我现在也在申请UW Madison的MBA，对Corporate Finance感兴趣，正在准备Essay，里面第四个题目问的是：

Identify and list three critical financial issues affecting businesses today. Select one issue to discuss in depth. Discuss why you think this is a critical issue and provide your recommentdations as to how this issue may be solved.

由于本人没有金融方面的背景，实在不知道该如从下手，不知是该写当前的金融危机呢，还是别的什么，请各位前辈给点建议吧，小女子不胜感激，其他三篇都差不多写好了，只差这一篇，真是头大呀。怕写出很幼稚又外行的文章贻笑大方。多谢了。

这是什么状况? Madison就面了我18分钟,而且就问了我一个问题,我答了6分钟左右.然后就我问有没有问题要问. 我问了3个. 她们个个回答了. 然后, 我忍不住了,就问她们, 我都问了三个问题了,你们就问了一个, 所以,你们还有其他的问题来问我吗? 她们说, 哦, 没有了, 这个面试主要是要进一步了解下你, 非常感谢啊~

Btw，那个问题是：Introduce yourself and Why MBA? 面试的是Grainger Center的Executive director和director. 面试前，director告诉我她一会儿有课。

有一种被雷的感觉~~

回楼上，他们邀请的。可是来的是Grainger Center for SCM的director和executive director.

电话面试还是face to face?

只问一个问题是有点奇怪。不过既然他们邀请你面试了就表明认可你的基本条件了。所以他们估计就是看看你的交流能力了。18分钟足矣了。

Phone interview. 本来要视频，他们看不到我，我还开玩笑说，What a pity! I am wearing a Zegna suit.他们狂笑。然后来聊了Veteran's Day. 我说你们很卖力呀，holiday还面试。他们说有课呢！我说Maybe it is a better way to commemorate the veterans back in 1918.他们说 very correct!

You may want to follow up a call to the director to ask feedback and next step.

When I was interviewed by another center, the whole interview was about 1 hours of each (twice). 20 min interview is definitely short....

Veteran's Day is not a fed/state holiday though, so your question about having interview on holiday is not proper.

Ask yourself first why you want to apply for Corporate Finance if you don't have finance/accounting b/g.
