it's hard to say. I know someone was admitted eventually from WL. but the chance is not that big.

in your case, you'd better contact the center directer (in UW-Madison, normally center directors make the admission decisions) and request an interview. Hope your good performance during interview will change their opinion.

如果你对自己有信心，建议去学校和director聊一聊，一表示忠心，二让他们对你有更加深刻的印象。

小弟对Univ of Wisconsin-MBA-SCM很感兴趣, 但是Wisconsin要求申请该方向的申请者提供的essay #3非常叫人头疼.

3. List three critical supply chain management challenges facing business today and select one to discuss in depth.  Explain why the issue is important, including suggestions for how to address this challenge and examples from your own experience if applicable.

其实小弟并不是在这样的题目前打退堂鼓, 而是在决定申请前存有顾虑, 请前辈们给予帮助解答:

(1) 小弟的背景是否在申请SCM时候是劣势, 尤其是想UW-Madison这样看上去很学术的学校? 小弟是做shipping的,到现在在类似马士基这样的航运公司做了4年多.做过customer service coordinate, sales representative,sales manager, Assistant Trade Manager, General Manager Assistant等等. 小弟仅仅知道shipping或者logistics仅仅是SCM的一小块, 这样会不会被许多有真正SCM的申请者们雷倒? 另外, 请前辈们建议些阅读材料, 能迅速地帮助小弟更快地掌握SCM大致的知识, 为回答这道essay, 也为面试准备.

(2) UW-Madison第一轮截11月5日, 如果在这以后才提交会不会在争取奖学金方面存在劣势? 有没有前辈在第二轮提交拿到充足的PA等等的?

(3) 听说UW-Madison的MBA对大陆学生存有偏见, 不太愿意录取, 是否如此? 有没有前辈是大陆过去读MBA的,当然, 最好是SCM.

1.我觉得你的工作经验和supply chain已经很相关了，关键看你怎么解释了。我不是supply chain方向的，但我觉得你的工作背景绝对不是你申请的劣势。

2.我是在一月份的那个deadline提交的,拿到了奖学金。而且UW给奖非常大方，基本上拿PA没问题

3.我不认为对大陆学生存在偏见，我们今年有6个大陆学生，没有台湾的，有一个香港的

谢谢Penguin82姐姐的鼓励, 在过去的10多天,我努力撰写essays,终于完成了essays和相关材料的初稿了! 这里小弟有三件事:

第一.明天我想先把一些申请材料用快件寄送到学校去, 请师哥师姐们帮我看看,这个package是否有遗漏:

# Transcript *1
# 毕业证明 *1 + 学位证明 *1
# 推荐信 *2 (我的第三个推荐人决定online recommendation)
# Cover Letter: 总结下自己的这个package含了什么东西

第二.我先寄送package再提交网上申请的目的是为了给自己争取时间,"缓兵之计"吧,因为自己对其中的一篇essay(Supply Chain Essay #3)感觉还不够完美. 这里也希望哪位师哥师姐帮忙把把关, 给小弟的这篇essay提提意见.这里先谢过了!

第三.关于奖学金的3篇essay,小弟还有问题.看了前面的介绍,这3篇essay并不十分重要,很短就行,是否真的如此? 小弟的teaching experience实在很少,computer experience也是汗颜, 仅仅会Microsoft office.不知这样是否会影响小弟的TA,PA? 小弟的professional experience似乎还比较有的写, 因为入学前,小弟工作了5年多.

以上问题,忘诸位速赐教,万分感激,涕零!
