2. 4 measures: place within the family economy; type of work; role within the guilds; wages => medieval golden age ~= early-modern age (growing inactivity & exploitation) => 4 measures changed.
BUT: 1) many occurs short: Black Death; Bargaining; prompted Objection from guilds (at recessions)
2) tiny minority being affected by positive shifts: working opportunity mostly for wage-earning or unban local =>very few; STILL cannot take advantage of new opportunities
3) changes must endure continuities in circumstances, status and experiences: women’s working status is lower than men’s.
