Accounting is not my domain, and so I am not in the position to comment on the three schools regarding their respective strengths in its subfields. But I would recommend BYU Accounting Research Rankings, which are quite reputable and credible. I believe one has a sure chance to join a research school at each of these programs although Maryland performs slightly better.

If I recall correctly, the U Mass -Boston program had started with the Finance concentration. Did you receive offers elsewhere?

umass Boston launched information systems for data science track at 2016, and I am not able to find their placement information. I do find that many senior level managers entered this track. Currently, I have another offer from NC state PhD operations research, but the funding is not available for the first year, and also not guaranteed for the next years

Discussions for the 2024-2025 admissions cycle were not as vibrant or spirited as those for the previous years. This is puzzling to me. Best of luck to those who are planning on applying in the forthcoming season!

感谢楼主的分享！想问一下，如果不是一定要追求research school的话，tier3 的学校的毕业生能比较保险地找到balanced school或者teaching school的教职作为保底吗？国际生会否因为口音/亚裔等背景而很难找到teaching school的教职呀？谢谢！

事实上，对于不同专业来说，目前楼主所划分的T1T2T3甚至T4可能存在不准确的地方，最好的判断标准当属毕业生placement。例如对于accounting来说，iowa的average placement远超一众T2甚至部分T1。甚至包括位于T3-4的Oregon，accounting的placement也是相当出色，应当被归为T2。另外，楼主是否知道UC Berkeley怎么回事？他们家的商学院很少被提及，部分方向，例如accounting，placement表现非常颓废，已经近4年没有一人去往学界，非常之夸张。。
