Analytical modeling in Accounting -- or any other discipline -- is not for everyone. It is for the privileged few at top schools, including Columbia, Stanford, and Toronto. If one is up to analytical modeling, he or she should have no probelm with its empirical counterpart, but not vice versa.
I am anticipating being able to unveil the new version of Business Ph.D. Program Rankings over the Fall after protracted delay. It is modelled after UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings and places heavy emphasis on middling schools/programs encompassing Tier 3 and Tier 4, which are targeted by the vast majority of applicants.
I am wondering if you still plan to update the list for 2025.
Thank you for the heads up. I acknowledge that the project has kind of been on the backburner. However, the current placement rankings of the individual programs are largely up-to-date as generally it takes years for the placement ranking of any program to change. As such, the revision focuses on Tier 3 and Tier 4 programs, which the vast majority of applicants target or aim for. Specifically, it delves into the placements of the concentrations of each program.
