恭喜哟～我个人偏好WUSTL，因为非常喜欢Joe和Selin这对couple，帅哥美女，又聪明又nice。刚去的Robyn也很厉害。他们整个项目非常JDM，看你的兴趣了。Wisconsin也很好，特别是Page刚过去，她是个很好的advisor。相比WUSTL，这个项目更偏consumer psych一点。GT相对弱一些，但是你如果对WOM, social media这些很有兴趣的话，跟Samuel Bond做会非常好，而且他们项目应该几乎没有CB学生了，得到full attention会是非常大的优势，另外亚特兰大毕竟是大城市。

Frank，想问下你对Penn State和Minnesota的看法？我是CB的，拿到Penn State offer，在UMN shortlist上。FYI, have research fit with faculty in both programs. Penn State is very enthusiastic in getting me to come and different profs have been checking with me every other day for over a week. Some even talked about potential collaboration opportunities. Looks like I can get full support and attention there/But Minnesota is huge in CB and have truly great faculty

It depends on your interest. Let's count those who you could work with at UMN: Vladas--evolutionary psych, Carlos--culture psych and brand, Kathleen--social psych, Debbie--brand and developmental psych, Rohini--brand, Joe Redden--satiation, Alison--mindset, information processing. Joan Meyers Levy doesn't take student anymore. Not sure about Ashkay Rao.

So if you really like psych-oriented, information processing or brand research, UMN would be a perfect place for you.

For PSU, I really like Meg Meloy and Lisa Bolton. They have broad interest but their papers are very smart, interesting and practical relevant. Karen Winterich is really good at getting papers published. I heard from one of her former student that she is a also great advisor. PSU is similar to my department since they have a strong marketing strategy group too, which means they might care a lot about MARKETING implication of research. That's quite different from UMN.

Thanks, Frank. I do like brand and cross cultural research, so probably will end up working with Rohini and Carlos at UMN. Not me best interest to work on pure psych-oriented stuff though.

For PSU, I agree with you that do their papers are more interesting and practical relevant. Not sure with whom I will end up working with. I've been in touch with Lisa, Meg and Karen for a while, all of them are great mentors based on their previous/current students' comments. Have some potential projects with Karen. But both Karen and Meg will be on sabbatical from this Fall. I am really impressed by the amount of enthusiasm they are showing to me, or is it common after a school gave an offer?

Anyway, I shall hear back from UMN next week. Guess I will have to see how things unfold before a final decision. Thanks for your advice, Frank!

考虑到你握着PSU的offer，还在等UMN的消息，想必你自己心里已经有倾向了，预祝顺利拿到UMN的offer，如果最终去了PSU也挺好，都值得好好庆祝
