我选的是D,因为文中说没有人会赞同毫无意义的欺骗（见红字部分），而D说的是为了欺骗而欺骗是不应该被谴责的，与原文意思相反，所以我选了D。而C我认为文中并没有相关信息可以判断它的正误。

run-on problem的意思只能意会，好像就是说一个句子里出现了两个谓语。

to confine them和 to allow members 看成是平行的不可以么？

我觉得可能是因为confine的发出者并不是Judge Bonham，而用E的话，to go home 和 to be confined的主语都是members这样更合适。
