Prioritization is an art
Life in Lausanne is getting harder and harder, with a lot of cases, readings and assignments throughout the whole week. The school intentionally break the group of 90 students to 15 groups, with totally different backgrounds from 40 countries around the Globe. When deadlines are approaching, conflicts will automatically exist within the group. IMD wants you to deal with that and solve it. You will have hard times during the process, but this is how learning is done.
Another point I would like to mention is the prioritization of works. Students come to IMD with many different reasons. Some of them are receiving sponsorship from their companies, some of them are entrepreneurs, coming here to explore network opportunities. And most of us, I guess, are looking for a mix of academic pursuit and good career services support. Based on the personal goal, sometimes you have to prioritize what you are going to do for a given period of time. When you focus on something, sometimes it implies that you have to give up something. At the end, we only have 24 hours a day.
The deadline for the first session application is passed. I hope I can see some of you in the campus. Welcome to IMD and enjoy the time
Cheers
Gary
