做这道题目的时候，在B,C之间犹豫了很久，结果选了B，答案是C

问题是问，即使volunteering不使人长寿，这个调查数据还是能得出参加volunteering的人shows长寿

我选B的思路是，因为参加的年轻人少了，参加的都是活得长的，本来就长寿。

C的思路是：参加之后有假象，可以掩盖疾病，看起来长寿。

是不是因为这里文章中说了shows，所以答案才选C?

随便建议你看看GWD关于Gmat考试的一个意见，他说考的不是你的推理，而是迅速从选项中看出哪个是跟题目有关的，那些是根本瞎扯的。

我觉得他说得这个很对你的“症结”（我也很臭的，提高中...）

其实我不是很同意你对有关无关的理解，比如这道题目：

我认为答案是a。因为参加volunteer女性高于男性，而且女性比男性寿命长，所以参加volunteer人群的平均寿命长于一般人群平均寿命。

请注意However, that statistic would be what we would expect even if volunteering does not boost longevity的意思是：即使volunteering 不能延长寿命，调查结果依然会象我们预期的那样。换言之，即使volunteering 不能延长寿命，调查结果依然是参加volunteer者的平均寿命长于一般人群的平均寿命。
