各位大虾，小妹是新手，本科在读大二，想在2007年毕业后就出去读书，正在准备5T，想问问关于GMAT的事：

想去北美读会计或金融方向的Ms or PhD，是不是一定要考GMAT？是不是大部分的学校商学院都只收GMAT的成绩呢？另外，因为再开学就是大三了，专业课比较多，想问问大家什么时候考G比较合适。另外，考G要上新东方或别的班吗？如果要报，在考试之前多久报比较好呢？

這個要看各個學校，有些GMAT，有些GRE，有些兩者皆可

是不是大部分的学校商学院都只收GMAT的成绩呢？

大部份的商學院是要GMAT

另外，因为再开学就是大三了，专业课比较多，想问问大家什么时候考G比较合适。另外，考G要上新东方或别的班吗？

只要在你想念的那間學校截止日前考出成績即可，課業忙先忙課業吧，樓主還有很多時間，先把T考好吧！

如果要报，在考试之前多久报比较好呢？

I am in England so I don't know much about the situation in the USA, but I think if you are going to study business, taking GMAT may not the only choice, but the best choice. whether the schools accept only GMAT depends on each school’s preference. so  you'd better to check the websites of the schools you are interested in. generally speaking, almost all the good business schools are prefer GMAT to other exams such as GRE.

the GMAT score is valid for 5years,  but I think this is a good idea to take GMAT at the final term of your stay in school, because you may choose to work for a period of time after your graduation so that if you take it later you have more time to plan your career and education. However, you can prepare for the exam from now. that is, to improve your English, especially reading. because you will find that it is extremely important to have good comprehension abilities in this exam. but there are no needs to focus on GMAT materials at the moment. Reading English paper everyday for 1-2 hours or business periodicals will help lot. I am sure if you practice it everyday you will save much time when you prepare GMAT

And if you have more time you can study grammar. may some people don't agree with my opinion,  but I think GMAT grammar is not so special or different from normal English grammar. actually, GMAT grammar is highly standard writing English grammar. so at this stage, it is good idea to improve your general real grammar rather than target specially at GMAT grammar. of course you can now see what GMAT is so you can have a general impression.

You may hear quite a lot of people, especially training schools, say that GMAT not test s your English, they may right in a sense, good English does not guarantee a good GMAT score, but without good English it is almost impossible to get a good score. Of course  there always some exceptions. Otherwise we don’t have the word of “lucky”.

I don't think it is necessary to join a training. I have been to Xin Dong Fang, the biggest advantage of joining training school is that you can quickly get in to the right condition of study because of peer motivation and to make some G friends

This is my personal opinion. You can read some “ GMAT gao fen xin jing” in this section to find more about GMAT and make right decision  according to your own situation
