Yale Interview

I have scheduled the on-campus interview in Feb. No idea whether they invite most applicants. Is Yale the only one you have applied?

Yale's interview is by invitation only (according to its website). This probably means no one is accepted without an interview. Unfortunately, I don't know the % of applicants get invited for interviews, nor the % of those who are interviewed eventually get accepted.

I don't know if one can get rejected without an interview. But I assume this is the case.

Yale's interview is by invitation only. Last year, 50% of all applicants received an interview invitation, and 50% of those who interviewed received an offer.

From the data provided by Businessweek, the ratio is only 10-15% for Yale.

school always sends more admitted letters, as some of the admitted students might not accept the offer.

admission rate (selectivity) is different from acceptance rate (yield).

total applicants * admission rate * acceptance rate = enrollment

In Yale's case, 2000*25%*42%=210
