Yale Interview

Yale sent me email to schedule an interview (I submitted for the second round three days ago).

I am wondering how long the decision takes after the interview, two weeks, one month or simply come out until the last decision day? What would be better, scheduling an interview early or late? Thanks a lot for any tips!

I'm in US. I need to go to New Haven for interview but when, no decided yet.

wow, that's quick. now I'm getting nervous

bluemunich - I think if this is your first one, it's  better to schedule it later so you get to prep more. from what I heard, yale's interview carries lots of weight in the final decision. if you have interviewed before, then there is no advantage or disadvantage to schedule it later. if you expect more interviews in the near future, why not get it done sooner to get it out of the way? just my 0.02.

BTW, does Yale invite every applicant for interview? Seriously please. I have submitted some applications, and now I am thinking whether I should apply more schools.

Yale's interview is invitation only.

Thanks Jane. It is said that Yale's interview is invitation only. But I never heard anyone who was dinged without interview.
