4. I also really encourage you to visitthe schools you are applying to. Yes, the travel can be a little expensive, but when you put it intoperspective by comparing it to the overall cost of an MBA, it is very little.An MBA is a big investment in terms of money and time, so you want to make surethat you have picked the right school for you. While on campus, sit inon a class and be sure to talk to the students.

As you look at schools, don’t ignore your gut. That intangible “fit” is important.Think about how you will fit into the program. What’s the culture like? Whatwill you contribute? Can you see yourself actually being a part of thecommunity?

去实地考察学校是个很好的途径，费用确实会比较高，但是比起MBA整个的成本，这样走一趟，如果能找到合适自己的学校，还是很值得的。

5. Create a timeline for yourself with all of the variousdeadlines for each of the schools. It can be a lot of dates to keeptrack of and you don’t want to miss anything. Make sure your recommenders areaware of the deadlines too and give them plenty of time to submit yourrecommendation. You do not want them to have to rush it!

In preparing your timeline, it is really important to read the applicationinstructions for each school. There is a lot of important information in ourapplication instructions, but every year I hear from applicants who have missedopportunities or made mistakes that hurt their chances for admission, becausethey hadn’t read them. Many applicants often miss the deadline to submit ourscholarship application because they didn’t read the instructions, and theylater find themselves ineligible for a scholarship.

6. Start getting your finances in ordernow - business school is expensive. Don’t be scared off by the price tag – the return on investment makesit worthwhile, and there are ways to finance your education throughscholarships and student loans. BUT right now, work on your financialhealth. Save money. Pay off your credit cards. Don’t buy a fancy, expensivecar, etc. Loan opportunities may be better with a better credit history, andyou don’t want cost of attendance to limit where you can go if you really haveyour heart set on a particular school.

不要被昂贵的MBA学费吓到，要知道如果够优秀室友机会拿奖学金，也是有机会可以申请学生贷款的。
