北美7.28 If you are assigned an important presentation for work orschool, you prefer to work on it right away so that you can work on it a littlebit every day, or wait until you have a good idea about the presentation?

As time flies, we are flooded in a society of greater pressure and fierce competitions: exams, essays(我们都是每门学科交essays算GPA里面,papers是试卷), presentations, reports, and etc! To stand out, everyone has his/her own ability or way to deal with different challenges. Let’s assume that if you are assigned  an important presentation, how will you accomplish this task, working on it immediately or consider it thoughtfully? Personally, I am a big fan of the latter method. By processing a good picture of the whole presentation in my mind, I may work it out efficiently and effectively.)
First and foremost, nothing is more important than a good beginning to open the gate of success. Only with a thorough plan, can we carry out our task step by step. Let’s take drawing as a case, an accomplished artist, always pictures the whole work in his/her mind before he/she puts it on the paper, the outline, the structure and the main idea, all the factors should be taken into account as a whole. So it is with the presentation. The main idea, the materials to support the idea, the structure to organize the material, all these aspects should be considered carefully and logically. Therefore, starting your presentation with a good idea may have its advantage.
Further(more), if it is carried out with a good idea, the presentation can be accomplished efficiently and orderly. With the guidance of the main structure, making sure what our main idea is, determining the main idea, and collecting proper materials are the process to illustrate this idea. (又改了一下) Then it is vital to make a logical structure to organize these materials and find a right way to present our viewpoints clearly. Obviously, possessing a good idea first can lead to greater efficiency and a better outcome.
Admittedly, working on the presentation immediately has its own merits that could not be taken place by finishing a presentation with a good idea since it can do quickly at first, and everyday progress can encourage you to work harder. However, without a thorough thinking process, the presentation may lack the bonding among all the materials or points, therefore, it cannot convey the whole idea effectively.
In conclusion, instead of working on the presentation right now, it is better to consider more thoroughly then come up with a good idea before beginning your presentation, for it can accomplish the assignment definitely and successfully.

北美1.21The opinions ofcelebrities, such as certain entertainment and athletes, are more important foryounger people than older people.
Currently, we are flooded in an information explosion: variousopinions from the celebrities, our parents, different choices and difficultydecisions always lead us into a dilemma. Young students, as we are, we are more easilyinfluenced by the opinions of celebrities such as certain entertainment andathletes than older people. My demonstrations are as follows.

First and foremost, there is nodenying that young people can have a more convenient access to brand new things such asan opinion of a popular superstar. In other words, compared with the oldgenerations, young people are more adaptive and advantageous in an information era;they are accomplished handlers of computers, micro blogs and so forth. Let’ssee my younger brother as a convincing example. My brother, a swimming lover,is 17 years old and is a big fan of Sun Yang. You know, Sun Yang, one of themost distinguished swimmers in the world, has gained an exciting grade in the2012 Olympic Game. My brother admires him so much that he observes everythingon Sun’s micro blog. Sun’s perseverance and willpower consequently encourage mybrother to zero inhis own target and go for his dream firmly. In sharp contrast, when my brothertold something concerning Sun Yang to my grandmother, she fell into confusionand seemed to have never known of Sun Yang. Obviously, young people can acceptthe celebrities’ viewpoint easily than the elder.

Further, without enough experiencesor background knowledge as our elder generations possess, the young are morelikely to be influenced by celebrities regardless of whether their views areright or wrong. On the one hand, so young are we that we cannot evaluate allthe opinions around us, and this hint would make us to believe insomeone we admire for. To my brother, Sun’s viewpoint is constantly rightbecause he is the hero in my brother’s mind. Nevertheless, such a viewunderlies some limitations since everyone including our heroes will makemistakes, what we should do is accept their opinion objectively. Oppositely, theelders enjoy a mere possession of experience and can establish a rightevaluation to celebrities’ opinions. Hence, it is hard for the elder to takeall the celebrities’ suggestions.
To sum up, compared with the elder, young people are more likely to accept the opinions of celebrities, for theircloser access to new ideas and limited social experience.
