到底应该选择GRE还是GMAT？

我学财务管理 ，申请的学校要求提供GRE或者GMAT的成绩，
希望能有高人给些建议：
它们的区别是什么》？分别侧重考察什么能力？怎么准备？一般需要多少时间？
gmat对数学要求很高么？我是数学二等残废

个人认为，GRE更注重考察大家对英语语言本身的掌握程度；GMAT更侧重思维的逻辑性和语言的严谨性。

怎么准备？一般需要多少时间？

找一些必要的复习资料，常到我们论坛学习其他人的好的备考方法。具体的时间因人而异。一般一两个月的复习是必要的。

gmat对数学要求很高么？

对大多数中国学生来说不高。

如果是准备学Financial Engineering（MFE), 只怕得考GRE，多数学校不接受GMAT。

看了不少前人的帖子。
今年GRE的考试时间太少和太迟，最早也是10月份，相反，GMAT几乎每个月都提供。
郁闷～～
不知道，该怎么决定？
是不是应该先克些单词？现在就用正规材料是不是太早，如果打算参加7、8月份的考试？
请教前人们！！谢谢。

ahsu,

1.   Generally speaking, if you want to study MBA - GMAT would be the first choice;
      Any master degree except MBA, consider GRE (or LSAT, if it is in law);

2.   GMAT doesn't need too much vocabulary - not like GRE, though the more voc. you have, it will definately help you in reading.  Of course, reading is the fundemental requirement here.

3.   Math is relatively easier in GMAT than it in GRE - but, none of them are very difficult.  The part our Chinese people might feel some difficult are usually in the statistics/probability or some 文字应用题 - you shall be able to get those parts done by doing some exercises.
