Suggestion: Share more here and then gain more here.

No sharing, no gain.

I applied the early decision round for all the schools I am interested in, although I am not sure if there is any advantage of doing so. I have mediocre GPA, GMAT score, and work experience (all average numbers for the top schools). I think what's important are the essays. I don't have much time to apply for many schools, but I made sure that I spent enough time on the essays for each school. Quality is more important than quantity. Make sure you have a consistent story: show it in the essay that every school ask (why MBA, why this school). The school for which I did not write the essays well is the one that rejected me.

Looks like everybody likes Dartmouth better...I had a campus interview at Cornell. People there are nice, but some gave me a little 'stuck-up' impression. Maybe because many students are from the City. Tuck people are definitely more friendly, more family-oriented. Thanks for the suggestions.

About interviews. I suck at them, so I am not gonna give too much misleading info. Anyway, you should know the school and the program well. Prepare several 'in-depth' questions to ask the interviewer...that way they know you have looked into their program.  Also try to relax. I screwed up one (at least I think so) because I was too nervous. I started jibberishing and couldn't think clearly about the answers. Interviews are important, but hey, the interviewers are not really more important than anybody else. They are just temporarily in the judging position.

First of all, no offence here. I doubt tuck adcom's ability to judge an applicant's knowlege regarding the school. Tell me how you let them believe that you really want to go to tuck or tell me how you answered "why tuck?"

Oh dear, you almost ruined tuck's image in my mind.
