我今天作XY13时碰到了这套题，选了B。

我大概读了一下这个讨论贴，很多人否定了B,因为"around"的缘故。而且还做了 "站在NN旁边就是NN"的比喻，所以就选了E。

我不管这道题到底选什么。只是想问一下E选项是不是存在和B中"around"同样的问题呢？文章里"in such apparently communal spaces" 只是说"in",也没有说"is"啊。

如果因为"around"排除了B，同理也应该因为"in"排除E。

不然的话，那就相当于说"站在NN旁边就是NN" 的说法是错的，但是"站在一群NN里面就是NN" 的说法是正确的了。所以说如果你以around为理由排除B的话，那也不应该选"E"。 要坚持自己的原则，哪怕这个原则是错的，以后还有机会改正。如果一会这样一会那样，那是改都没法改啊。

还有大家拿来攻击around 这词的一些例子我个人认为并不好   诚然站在巨人旁边不能增加你是巨人的概率但是这比喻对古物/建筑 来说并不合理   既然这些 spaces 事建在ceremonial chamber 旁应该可以说有相关性   此题问的是 "probably" 因此符合

so IMO B is wrong

Q5我从正反两面都觉得应该是选E。

正面：in such apparently communal spaces。

这是一道细节题，GMAT的官方解释这类题是不需要推理的，文章会直接给出，所以从第一段的最后一句话就可以看出这个洞是大家公用的。

反面： (underground ceremonial chambers)，不知道大家有没有注意到这个括号，一般来说，ETS给出的括号内的内容只是用来辅助大家理解文章，而一般不作为内容，这一点在逻辑题里很明显。逻辑题里的括号里的内容如果在选项中出现并是这个选项主体，这肯定是无关选项。

个人拙见，请NN拍砖。
