我刚做完题，5题也选了E，当时我是没有注意到ceremonial这个词，所以根本就没有考虑B。我选E的是因为有large size的储存空间是management出现的原因，也就是支持作者观点的其中一个论据，如果这些储存空间不是大家公用，就没有formal managment的必要，也就不能支持作者观点。

I think the answer is B.

The question asks which of the following is probably true? Answer B states that "they served a ceremonial as well as a practical function."

Line 14~16 suggest that they served a ceremonial. Line 17~24 suggest that they probably served a pratical function--store foods.
