Main idea:  this passage is aimed at reporting a new medical and biological study-----positive attitude.
Structure:   (firstly It shows some pictures so that readers can know the mainly process of this new technology)
The literal description of process:
1.    Remove mother’s nucleus which contains some disease in the egg cell
2.    Remove the nucleus of the donor’s egg cell
3.    Insert the mother’s nucleus into the donor’s egg.
4.    Fertilize the egg.
The result of this study:  it can help mother to bear healthy baby, by using this method that can successfully prevent transmission of disease-causing gene mutations, such as eye disorders, heart disease, and deafness, etc.
This study was first published in 2009 August in Nature.
Why this therapy is successful?
1.    Scientists have used the monkeys’ egg, and later on monkeys have a healthy neonate.
2.    They found a key process to determine the health ----- that the egg can be fertilized only when it is transferred successful and when the cells develop normally.
3.    The mother’s and the donor’s egg should be frozen, because egg can only survive a quite short time.
Some current problems in this study:
1.    Scientists only use the frozen eggs in their experiment.
2.    The study material involves human’s egg, so this study has come into an ethic issue.
3.    There are some restrictions on using federal’s money, so that these scientists are facing funding problem.
How do these problems being solved?
1.    These scientists have consulted with the ethicists and their fellows in other universities.
2.    The USA has agreed to help the plan to complete, and to protect its rights and welfare in intellectual poverty..
In conclusion:
We are hoping that this new technology can be mature as soon as possible, since it really can help to improve human’s new generation quality.

New gene therapy has been developed successfully. With this method, inherited disease can be prevented and the therapy is also useful for clinic trails.
The research of gene therapy was led by MS and several other agents. Their aim is to discover a method to prevent genetic diseases that are transmitted from one generation to the next generation. These mito~-based diseases can be very severe.
To conduct the research, MS used the nucleus of a healthy cell to replace the nucleus of mito~ contained cell, and the result turned out to be successful. The research was also successfully conducted by using frozen egg cells. This discovery is remarkable because the egg cells and cells from the donor can only be viable for a period of time. However, this type of transition is not approved in the United States, while British is considering to apply this treatment for patients at risk.
The research team also consulted ethicists and made sure the research met government regulations.
