A/D the public need not to pay for public transport

As people becomewealthier with the development of economic(as 和with 两个连词,只要一个吧), they have more freedom to choosewhether they’ll take public transport. There is a heated debate about whetherthe public should pay for public transport. Some say that as not everybody usesit, it’s not fair that people take the public transport for free. However, I holdthe opposite opinion.

To start with, it’sthe government’s obligation to pay for the public transport because it is ameans of wealth reallocation. Admittedly, not everyone takes the advantage ofthe public transport and the system operates with taxpayers’ money. Offeringfree public transport increases the total wealth and satisfaction of the wholesociety. Similarly, if the government wants to build a bridge, everybody willpay for it though only part of them will use it. Once I asked my dad, whohardly took a bus, if (whether)he agreed that public didn’t need to pay for the publictransport, he told me that this was good, for the action made more people livebetter and the society harmonious. Wealth reallocation helps decreases(narrow、bridge) the gapof living standard among different people with little expenses from people.

What’s more, thesystem may operate in a more efficient way if people don’t need to pay for it.Currently, because of the pursue of profits, owners of bus companies change thebus routes so that buses can go to places where most people live and want togo. People living in other areas have to choose other means of transportation. The companies gain money regardless the inconvenience of passengers. If thepublic don’t need to pay for the transport and the government operates it, whendesigning the route, people may consider not only costs and profits, but alsothe availability(convenience和benefit都可以,虽然convenience出没多次,但是这里availability是不合适的吧) of the passengers. In this aspect(因果关系也可以用as a result/consequence,consequently), the system will run moreefficiently under the control(administration,管理的意思,词义比较泛一点) of government.

In addition, morepeople will take the public transport if it’s free, and the pollution made byvehicles may become less. As we all know, vehicles are one of the maincontributors of air and noise pollution. If more people take the publictransport instead of private cars, less carbon oxide will be emitted into theatmosphere. Besides, fewer vehicles may also help eliminate traffic jams.

Though there aredisadvantages like the huge costs of the system, the advantages outweigh thedrawbacks. A free public transport system is more efficient and offers residentsa better environment.

PS:supporting points没啥建议好给的,大家都差不多啦, 所以就给一些词汇上的修改--灵活的表达方式会给文章增色不少。

A/D the next twenty years from now on, students willnot use printed books any more
As technologyimproves, people have the choice to choose between electronic books and printedversions, and there is a tendency that more people prefer electronic ones. However, some people still want to choose paper books, and they say that printedbooks make them more involved in reading. They also predict that students willstill use printed books twenty years later. I hold the opposite opinion.
To begin with, theprice of an electronic book is much cheaper than a printed one. Currently, thecost of a traditional book is usually ten times more than that of an electronicone. As governments pay for the basic education and they are usually on tightbudget, they prefer to choose the electronic books. There are some universitystudents reading electronic textbooks in class now, and they say it saves a lot.In this aspect, both compulsory education and higher education will put electronicbooks into use in the future.
What’s more, electronic books do no harm to the environment while the production of printedbooks pollutes the earth. Some environmentalists advocate that people should beaccustomed to reading electronic books to protect the environment. As we allknow, the process of paper-making and printing produces waste water and gases, which are poisonous to creatures. Besides, paper is made up of wood. If morepeople read electronic copies instead, there will be more forests with betterenvironment. Based on the advantages, governments probably will ask students touse electronic textbooks for the purpose of the protection of environment.
In addition, wecan read electronic books wherever we go for the device is portable.Traditional books take too much space and weigh a lot, so not everybody wantsto bring them. Despite of the advantages listed, students adapted to newinventions quickly and they are willing to try new things. The fashion ofreading electronic books spread quickly among them and it’s not a surprise thatone day they will use electronic textbooks. There is another feature that mayattract students to use electronic books: they can buy books published abroad. It’s convenient to buy electronic books online, while it takes months for traditionalbooks to ship across oceans.
It’s undeniablethat reading traditional books is enjoyable, but it’s more convenient and economicalto read electronic ones. With the use of devices like Kindle, more people, especially students, will read electronic ones. As youngsters are the group whocan adapt to innovations quickly, they may not use printed books twenty yearslater, and instead, they will turn to electronic ones.

As technology improves, people have the choice to choose between (have to choose between/ have a choice that between) electronic books and printed versions, and there is a tendency that more people prefer electronic ones. However, some people still want to choose paper books, and they say that printed books make them more involved in reading. They also predict that students will still use printed books twenty years later. (一个转折连词更好) I hold the opposite opinion.

To begin with, the price of an electronic book is much cheaper(pricelow,所以lower更好) than a printed one. Currently, the cost of a traditional book is usually ten times more than that of an electronic one. As governments pay for the basic education and they are usually on tight budget, they prefer to choose the electronic books. There are some university students reading electronic textbooks in class now, and they say it (这里想指代的read electronic textbooks 还是electronic textbooks 如果是后者要them) saves a lot.In this aspect, both compulsory education and higher education will put electronic books into use in the future.

What’s more, electronic books do no harm to the environment while the production of printed books pollutes the earth. (污染地球好别扭,还是环境吧,虽然有点重复) Some environmentalists advocate that people should be accustomed to reading electronic books to protect the environment. As we all know, the process of paper-making and printing produces waste water and gases, which are poisonous to creatures. Besides, paper is made up of wood. If more people read electronic copies instead, there will be more forests with a better environment. Based on the advantages, governments probably will ask students to use electronic textbooks for the purpose of the(去掉) protection of environment.

In addition, we can read electronic books wherever we go for the device is portable.Traditional books take too much space and weigh a lot, so not everybody wants to bring them. Despite of the advantages listed, students adapted to new inventions quickly and they are willing to try new things. The fashion of reading electronic books spread quickly among them and it’s not a surprise that one day they will use electronic textbooks. There is another feature that may attract students to use electronic books: they can buy books published abroad. It’s convenient to buy electronic books online, while it takes months for traditional books to ship across oceans.   这个观点学习啦!

It’s undeniable that reading traditional books is enjoyable, but it’s more convenient and economical to read electronic ones. With the use of devices like Kindle, more people, especially students, will read electronic ones. As youngsters are the group who can adapt to innovations quickly, they may not use printed books twenty years later, and instead, they will turn to electronic ones.

Is it better to spend money on something that lastsfor a long time, such as an expensive piece of jewelry or spend on somethingthat provides a short-term pleasure as a vacation?
With the growth of economics, people don’tneed to struggle to make their ends meet and they have extra money to enjoy thelife. Some say that it’s better to spend money on something that lasts long, such as expensive jewelry, while others prefer to spend money on something thatprovides a short-term pleasure as a vacation. I’d like to spend money in thelatter way.
To begin with, the experience of enjoyingsomething providing short-term pleasure has a long-lasting effect. For example, travelling abroad will definitely broaden our horizon and attending aconcert will improve our aesthetic sense(这个我不是很会表达,麻烦批改的同学帮忙纠正~谢谢啦). Jewelries like diamond rings have no intrinsic values. Though theylast long, they do no good to owners except for the decorative effect. When Ifirst attended a concert, I was amazed by the rhythm of music. After theconcert, I devote myself in the study of piano. Years later, I can still recallthe chapter played that day. Though things providing short-term pleasure maycost a lot, they are similar with investments, which will give us huge returnssome day.
What’s more, we can know more people andmake friends with them by enjoying something that provides short-term pleasure, like a vacation or a party. Friends, who will offer help when you are introuble, are permanent treasures. I made friend with a girl named Ann on atrip, and we kept in contact with each other since then. Since she is olderthan me, she gave me lots of advice when I was choosing my major in university, which helped me a lot. On the other hand, though luxuries like jewelry makepeople appear to be more beautiful, they can’t help owners with their personaldevelopment.
Additionally, short-term pleasure helpspeople release pressure and keep mental health. As competitions among peers aremore severe, we usually have great pressure, which is not good to health.Spending money on something that can bring short-time pleasure is beneficialfor we can have higher efficiency when go back to work and study. However, jewelry can never make us refreshed.
We can’t deny the beauty and attraction ofluxuries like jewelry, but short-term pleasure is more appealing to me. Thoseproviding short-term pleasure have far-reaching influence on us, and I believethe experience will contribute to our success in the future.
