In the lecture the professor is skeptical about the ways to address the decline of Torreya in the reading passage. The professor says none of the method introduced in the reading makes sense.

On the top of that, 这个能做第二层意思的开头吗,老外不是把最重要的事情都放在开头咩,待求证the reading passage describes that moving Torreya to an totally different location is another option. However, the professor asserts that this practice will cause uncertain promblemproblemin the new evironmentenvironment. She takes the black tree as an example, once it is moved to theanew environment; the blaceblacktree spread rapidly, which kill off other native plants speices, species some of which is even endangered plants.

7.27 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely has some influence on your daily life.

In this day and age, the rapid development of the information societies has brought the public an efficient and convenient way to get the information. According to a survey conducted by a famous international organzation, an increasing number of people care about the events happening around the world, which aroused deep concern. As far as I am concerned, it is of great significance for people to know the current events.

Firstly,a well-rounded view of the contemporary society unconditionally enhance the competitiveness in the world. By following the events happening around the world, people are able to acquaint with the social situation, which is beneficial for them to achieve their goals. For instance, entrepreneurs, familiar with current events, are more mindful of and sensitive to the enviormental needs of the market, it is very likely for them to be conscious of surprising opportunitities on business or come up with extraordinary plans. Because their focusing on current events expand their outlook, and thus they tend to analyze problems comprehensively. Therefore, chance are more often explored by them than others who do not care little about the events happened around world.

Moreover, current events, as topic of conversation, do close the distance between people. For example, my friends and I, have a regular get-together to chat with other, and through discussing our opinion about the current news we know each other better. In additon, listening to their ideas I can solve some problem encountered in my lifetime. That say, not surprisingly, people who knows the events happening around the world usually performs as brilliant, humorous conversationalists, which are beneficial for social intea

Admittedly, a minority of individuals tend to believe that knowing some news negative, such as wars, disasters, murder, will cause the public depressed. However, if we can view such a situation  from a different perspective, we can find those people oversimplified the real situations. For example, the public are likely to be misled by the negative news, some of the news source even make a false news just to attract the attention of the public.

Taking all aacount dicussed above. I am convinced we need to know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely has some influence on your daily life.

7.27 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely has some influence on your daily life.

In this day and age, the rapid development of
the information societies (猜测小兔应该是想要写信息时代, information age 比较合适,另外,此句后面也出现information,所以其实水巷建议直接写 the society就可以) has brought the public an efficient and convenient way to get the (the 可以去掉吧?) information. According to a survey conducted by a famous international organzation (organization) (其实托福作文里,你可以直接给这个国际组织冠上名字的,(*^__^*) 编的也可以), an increasing number of people care about the events happening around the world, which aroused deep concern. As far as I am concerned, it is of great significance for people to know the current events.

Firstly, a
well-rounded view of the contemporary society unconditionally enhance enhances the competitiveness in the world. By following the events happening around the world, people are able to acquaint with the social situation, which is beneficial for them to achieve their goals. For instance, entrepreneurs, familiar with current events, are more mindful of and sensitive to the enviormental (environment) needs of the market, it is very likely for them to be conscious of surprising opportunitities (opportunities) on business or come up with extraordinary plans. Because their focusing on current events +, they? 缺主语的句子)expand their outlook, and thus they tend to analyze problems comprehensively. Therefore, chance chances? chance可以可数也可以不可数,根据意思来吧,但小兔后面用的是are,再好好琢磨琢磨)are more often explored by them than others who do not care little(双重否定就是肯定了)about the events happened around world.

Moreover, current events, as topic of conversation, do
closeclose 好像太绝对了换成shrink/decrease?the distance between people. For example, my friends and I, have a regular get-together to chat with other, and through discussing our opinion about the current news we know each other better. In additon (addition), listening to their ideas I can solve some problem (problems) encountered (雨巷觉得吧一般是encounter problems 而不是problems encounter in our lifein my lifetime. That say, not surprisingly, people who knows the events happening around the world usually performs as brilliant, humorous conversationalists, which are beneficial for social intea(这个是?)

Admittedly, a minority of individuals tend to believe that knowing some news negative, such as wars, disasters, murder, will cause the public depressed. However, if we can view such a situation from a different perspective, we can find those people oversimplified the real situations. For example, the public are likely to be misled by the negative news,
+ and吧两个句子了呢)some of the news source even make a false news just to attract the attention of the public. 。。。。)

Taking all
aacount dicussed (accounts discussed) above. I am convinced we need to know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely has some influence on your daily life.

To 小兔:

In the lecture, the professor is skeptical about the idea of the reading passage that the forest fires in Yellowstone caused by the" let it burn" policy  results in tremendous damage. The professor states some positive change after the Yellowstone fire.

First,  in the reading passage, Yellowstone fire result in the big damage to the vegetation, On the contrary, the professor says the that the fire increase the diversity of the vategation in the forest because it creats the chances for the growth of some plant which can not be develop otherwise.

On top of that, the reading passage describe that the park wildlife suffers from the fire. However, the professor asserts that the population of the animal actually increase after the fire. In addition, the fire offers a new chance for the animals to get the ideal habitats, and thus the food chain becomes stronger.

Finally, the professor disproves the idea of the reading passage that the local economy which depends on tourism suffers as a result of the fire. She points out that the fire does not happen every year, and as a matter of fact, after 1988 the forest fire never happens. There are still a number of  tourists who come to visit the Yellowstone park every year after 1988.

First,  in the reading passage, Yellowstone fire result in the big damage to the vegetation,
(.) On the contrary, the professor says the that the fire increase the diversity of the vategation(vegetation 注意拼写) in the forest , because it creates the (more) chances for the growth of some plants which can not be developed otherwise.

On top of that, the reading passage describe that the park wildlife suffers from the fire. However, the professor asserts that the population of the animal actually increase after the fire. In addition, the fire offers a new chance for the animals to get the ideal habitats, and thus the food chain becomes stronger

Finally, the professor disproves the idea of the reading passage that the local economy which depends on tourism suffers as a result of the fire. She points out that the fire does not happen every year, and as a matter of fact, after 1988 the forest fire never happens
ed(感觉应该用过去时态). There are still a number of  tourists who come to visit the Yellowstone park every year after 1988.

The professor is skeptical about the idea in the reading passage that ethanol is not a good alternative to gasoline. The professor lists some advantanges of ethanol.

First of all, in the reading passage, that the carbon dioxide caused by increasing use of ethanol would cause global. On the contrary, the professor points out, using ethanol actually can reduce global warming. Most of the ethanol fule are made from plants such as corn which absorbs carbon dioxide as important nutrient for it growth, therefore the the carbon dioxide is removed by the plants.

On top of that, the reading passage says the large number of ethanol would reduce the plants accessiable to animal. However, the professor asserts the ethanol is made of cellouse, the essential components of the cell wall, which is not eaten by animals, so the amount of plants the for animal.

Finally, the reading passages states the price of ethanol can not compete with the gasoline in the future. Bu the professor tells the students once the damend of the ethanol fuel increases, the production of the products will increase, which cause the drop of the price of ethanol. Moreover, a study done recently states the demand of consumers can be enlarged by three times, and thus the price of ethanol wil decrease by 40% in the future.
